Our Mission Statement

Our mission at S3 Crew NYC is to empower our community of eBike enthusiasts through education, repair, and customization. We believe that eBikes have the potential to revolutionize transportation and recreation, and we are committed to making them more accessible, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.

 

One of our main goals is to standardize safety in the industry through our educational content and community event organization. We aim to provide local riders with the skills to build their own custom eBikes, as well as to make a living from their hobby. By doing so, we hope to put food on the tables of the many families that ride with us. 

As we continue to expand our business, we are excited to offer a wide range of services, including repair, events, merchandise, and education. Our mission is to promote the growth of the eBike industry by building a strong community of riders and industry partners. We are proud to partner with many small companies in the industry, and our connections allow us to make anything possible for custom eBikes.

 

At our core, we are a technology solutions company with a passion for electric bicycles. Our founder, Mike Rios, spent eight years in education, teaching coding, design, as well as Makerspace and Computer Science curricula for ages 5 to 15. After developing summer camp and afterschool programs, Mike created a local eBike crew with a focus on friendship and exploration. The community grew rapidly, becoming one of the top eBike event organizer in the tri-state area.

Who are we?

Events 

Goal: To build and maintain a strong eBike community in New York City by hosting regular meetups, events, and rides.

 

Strategy: Our strategy is to plan and organize regular events that cater to the needs and interests of eBike riders in the area. We will collaborate with sponsors and vendors to provide additional value to attendees. We will use social media and other marketing channels to promote events and build awareness of the community.

Overall, the monthly meetups will serve as a platform to bring together the electric bike community in New York City and provide a fun and engaging environment for riders to socialize, learn, and compete. By incorporating food trucks, competitions, and a collaborative environment, we aim to attract a diverse audience and make each event a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Merchandise

Goal: To provide eBike enthusiasts with high-quality merchandise that showcases their love of the community.

 

Strategy: Our strategy is to design and produce a range of merchandise items, such as t-shirts, hats, stickers, and other items that appeal to eBike riders. We will use e-commerce platforms and other sales channels to provide the best merchandise to members.

Education

Goal: To provide eBike riders with the knowledge and resources they need to maintain and repair their own eBikes.

 

Strategy: Develop educational materials, such as online courses and tutorials, that teach eBike riders how to maintain and repair their own bikes. Offer in-person classes and workshops to provide hands-on training and support. Collaborate with the repair branch to provide a comprehensive range of educational resources.

Partnerships

As we look to expand our business model, we have been exploring potential partnerships with local bike shops that specialize in eBikes. By forming a relationship with a bike shop, we could offer our members a valuable resource for repairs and maintenance on their eBikes, while also providing the bike shop with a new customer base. In return, we could negotiate special discounts for our members at the bike shop, as well as co-branding efforts that would help to promote both of our businesses.

 

With our planned membership program, we can provide the bike shop with a steady stream of potential customers who are looking for quality service and repairs on their eBikes. In return, the bike shop can offer our members exclusive discounts, as well as facilitate events and giveaways that would further enhance the benefits of our membership program.

Ultimately, our goal is to create a robust ecosystem of resources for our members, and partnering with any vendors would be a critical part of achieving that vision. We believe that there is a huge potential for growth in this area, and we are excited to explore this opportunity further.
